While we might seem very new to the industry, we have been around in the bullion market and the business world for a long, long time. If you have been collecting, investing, or selling for many years, you may have come across our father, Ralph Nagel, or our father's business, “Phoenix Stamp and Coin." He started his first numismatic/philatelic business in California in 1947, opened Phoenix Stamp & Coin (later known as Nagel's) in the 1950s, and retired in the mid-2000s. We are proud decedents of his. His knowledge and ethics in the industry were rare, vastly known, and widely respected. And, he was one of the most trusted sources for buying, selling and appraising in the country.

His dream was for his children to follow in his footsteps. Sadly, children rarely like to do what they are asked and wish to make their own mark. While we were a partner in his final gold business for more than 15 years, we did not decide to become very active until recently. But, we are also proud to say we did achieve making a name in our own right and are still the owners of Immediate Respiratory Staffers, established in 1986, and providing respiratory care to medical facilities and individuals, along with our proprietary and compassionate Palliative Ventilator Weaning Program (http://rcpjobs.com), and we are even more passionate about our other business, Care With Confidence (http://carewithconfidence.com), an in-home daily living assistance company providing care to seniors and families. Both companies are A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau, and we are active members in our industry associations, and the community.

With all this on our plate, you might ask why the sudden passion to re-enter the Precious Metals market. It is funny how life always seems to point you in directions you never expected, but exactly where you belong…. In our home care business, we have seen a lot of clients go through the heartwrenching process of liquidating assets to pay for long term care which was unexpected. While we have always pointed our clients to reputable dealers, when we have known in advance, often we hear about transactions that have gone awry after the fact, and they simply walked into one of the local 'we buy gold' storefronts and got pennies on the dollar for family heirlooms. Even in liquidating some of our parents assets, and even with knowing the right contacts, we had to relearn where to go, who to trust, how to determine if we are buying and selling at a fair price and so on. And, so, now we are passing the information on to and providing the service directly to you.
